Rock ‘n’ Roll is one of the most iconic partner dances of the 1950s, danced to the upbeat sounds that helped define an era. With energetic footwork, smooth partner connection and plenty of fun, it’s a style you’ll see lighting up the dance floor throughout Crank It Up.

This workshop is designed for dancers who already have a solid understanding of Rock ‘n’ Roll and are looking to expand their repertoire, refine their technique and learn some exciting new combinations.

Note this is not a beginners session

This session is aimed at intermediate and advanced dancers who want to take their Rock ‘n’ Roll dancing to the next level.

The workshop is being run by experienced Rock ‘n’ Roll instructors who are passionate about helping dancers improve while keeping the atmosphere relaxed, social and fun.

The workshop is being held upstairs at the Starfish Function Room at the southern end of the Crank It Up event site. Amazing room overlooking the water… but you’ll be too busy dancing to enjoy the views!

This workshop is limited to 30 people:

15 Leads (the person who controls the moves and gives direction)
15 Follows (the person who styles the moves and embellishes the momentum given to them)

Leads and Follows are not gender specific. Therefore, if there are uneven numbers of leads and follows, you can swap teams to even up the numbers.

Location: Cnr Orient St and North St, Batemans Bay
